Institutions must guarantee the collection, analysis and use of accurate information for effective management of study programs and other operations and activities.
The basis and starting point for the effective evaluation of institutions is self-assesment. It is important that the institutions gather and analyse data so they know what works well and what needs particular attention to maintain or raise standards. On this basis, the institute should seek comparisons with other similar organizations within and beyond the Common European Area of Higher Education, aimed at deepening self-knowledge and improve its functioning.
